Naver Cafe is the online community service run by the South Korean web portal Naver, and one of the largest forum platforms in South Korea. Each “café” is a themed group with its own managers, and thousands of them are devoted to buying and selling second-hand goods, including the original Joonggonara café. Listings are fixed-price posts written by private individuals, and every community sets its own rules: many require joining, sometimes with a minimum level of activity, before members can post or comment.

For collectors, the appeal lies in the sheer range of communities: beyond the big general trading cafés, there are hobby cafés with their own sales boards. Listings are written in Korean and priced in South Korean won. Sellers are private individuals who usually deal within South Korea, so it is worth confirming whether they are willing to ship abroad before agreeing on a sale.
