eBay Netherlands (ebay.nl)
Auction site · ebay.nl
ebay.nl is eBay's Dutch site, with listings in Dutch and prices in euros. It is not the same as Marktplaats, the Dutch classifieds site eBay once owned. BuyHub searches ebay.nl in English from any country, converts prices to your currency and alerts you to new listings and closing auctions.
ebay.nl and Marktplaats: what is the connection?
eBay bought Marktplaats.nl in November 2004 and ran it for years alongside its own Dutch site. In June 2021, Marktplaats passed to Adevinta together with the rest of eBay Classifieds Group, so today Marktplaats and ebay.nl belong to different companies.
That history explains the searches for ebay nl marktplaats. Marktplaats is a classifieds site where buyer and seller arrange the deal; ebay.nl adds auctions and checkout through eBay. BuyHub searches both, plus Vinted and Amazon in the Netherlands, and can show them in one list.
eBay Netherlands in English or German
ebay.nl is in Dutch, and eBay's documentation lists no English or German edition of the Dutch site. With BuyHub you type in English, or in German, and the term is translated into Dutch; titles come back in your language.
Filters cover category, condition, item location, ships to, free shipping, private or business seller, auction or buy it now and number of bids. An auction alarm reminds you shortly before a lot closes, and a radar keeps watching ebay.nl for new listings around the clock, even with your devices off.
Buying from Dutch sellers abroad
Shipping abroad is each seller's decision, and the ships to filter in BuyHub keeps only listings that can reach your country. Within the EU there are no customs duties. In Great Britain, eBay charges VAT at checkout on orders of £135 or less, and in the United States low-value parcels have not entered duty-free since 29 August 2025. Prices on ebay.nl are in euros, and BuyHub shows them in your own currency. Ask the seller about packaging and insurance before bidding on anything fragile.
