A UK seller decides whether to post abroad and how. eBay International Shipping, which eBay began rolling out to UK sellers in August 2026, is gradually replacing the older Global Shipping Programme. With it, the buyer pays the international postage and can pay the import charges upfront at checkout.

Those charges matter more than they used to. Since 29 August 2025, the United States no longer lets low-value parcels in duty-free, whatever country they come from, so even an inexpensive item from Britain can carry duties. Since 1 October 2024, private sellers in the UK have paid no transaction fees on eBay.co.uk, except in Motors, so plenty of individuals sell there alongside business sellers. The private or business seller filter in BuyHub tells the two apart.
