Mercari Japan

Mercari Japan has an English interface at jp.mercari.com/en, but who can buy directly depends on where you live. Taiwan came first, in August 2024, and Hong Kong followed in May 2025. The Mercari Global App opened in both in September 2025 and in the United States on 17 June 2026: US buyers can now buy from Mercari and Mercari Shops listings in Japan without a proxy, with Mercari inspecting items before they ship and tracking in the app. Mercari aims to cover more than 50 countries and regions by 2028.

From Canada, the UK, Australia or New Zealand, the route Mercari offers for now is Buyee, its proxy-buying partner since November 2019. Buyee buys the item for you, the seller ships it to Buyee's warehouse in Japan, and Buyee handles the shipping abroad.

Type your search in English and BuyHub runs it on Mercari Japan in Japanese. Narrow it by price, condition, or private sellers versus Mercari Shops, and sort by newest or by price. A radar on your search keeps checking Mercari Japan day and night, without your phone or computer on.

Mercari Japan (jp.mercari.com) is the app Mercari launched with in 2013, and one of the most used furima apuri, or flea-market apps, in Japan, where private individuals resell what they no longer need. Every listing grades the item's condition on a fixed scale, from “new, unused” down to “poor overall condition”, and sellers are only paid once the buyer confirms receipt and leaves a rating.

For collectors, the range is the attraction: anime figures, idol photocards, retro cartridges and consoles, vintage cameras, cosplay, discontinued toys and designer fashion, much of it rarely seen outside Japan. Listings are in Japanese and prices in yen. From abroad, the usual route is a proxy buying service in Japan, which handles the purchase and sends the parcel on.
