FINN.no
Peer-to-peer marketplace · finn.no
FINN.no (finn.no) is the Norwegian marketplace where people sell second-hand goods, cars and homes, with every ad in Norwegian and every price in kroner. BuyHub opens FINN's goods marketplace to English searches from any browser, with no extension: it translates the ad titles, converts kroner and tells you about new ads.
Using FINN.no from abroad: account, BankID and Fiks ferdig
Logging in to FINN takes a Vend account, open from the age of 15, where you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. Verifying with BankID is usually optional, but FINN can ask for it before you contact advertisers in some categories, and getting a BankID requires an address registered in Norway.
To buy at a distance, sellers who offer Fiks ferdig ship through Helthjem, Posten or PostNord. You pay by card or Vipps, and on top of the price and postage comes a fee that depends on the item's price and is not refunded. The money is held by FINN's payment partner, Adyen, until the deal is complete.
Searching the FINN marketplace in English
BuyHub turns your English search into a search on FINN and lets you filter by price, condition, private or business seller, for-sale or wanted ads, ads that can be shipped, and ads posted in the last day, two days or week. Sort by newest, price or distance. Titles come back translated, and a radar checks FINN for new ads at any hour, with no need to keep a browser open.
FINN.no is one of the most used websites in Norway. Launched in 2000 and based in Oslo, it combines property, cars and job listings with Torget, a general marketplace where private sellers and businesses offer just about anything. The site is so woven into daily life that many Norwegians speak of “posting it on FINN” when they mean selling something. Most deals are done face to face, but with Fiks ferdig the buyer pays upfront and FINN holds the money until the parcel arrives.
Collectors benefit from having almost the whole Norwegian second-hand market on one site: collectible toys, antiques, vintage furniture and retro games all turn up here, and classic cars have a following of their own. Listings are in Norwegian and prices in kroner. Many sellers are private individuals who prefer local pickup, so it is worth checking whether they ship abroad. Norway is not in the EU, so parcels sent to EU countries go through customs.
