Facebook Marketplace Greece

Marketplace shows listings around a location rather than for the whole of Greece at once. BuyHub gives you six Greek locations to search from: Athens, Piraeus, Peristeri, Thessaloniki, Patras and Larissa. Pick one and sort by distance to see the nearest listings first, or by newest to catch what was just posted.

Filters cover price, condition, category and date listed. You type in English and BuyHub translates the term into Greek, then translates the titles back, so you do not need to know that a sofa is a καναπές to find one.

Install the free BuyHub extension for Chrome or Firefox, or open the BuyHub app: Facebook is searched through your own connection. A radar then watches your Greek search for you, even when your phone and computer are off.

Greece is on Facebook's official list of Marketplace countries, and Marketplace there is person to person. Facebook's shipping and purchase protection are only available in the United States, so you message the seller, agree on the price and arrange pickup or a courier between you. For items on the islands, ask about delivery before committing. Check the seller's profile and, when you can, see the item in person: without Facebook checkout there is no purchase protection to fall back on.

Vendora is a Greek classifieds platform that also covers Cyprus and Bulgaria, and Vinted, the second-hand clothing app, operates in Greece as well. xe.gr, from the publisher of Xrysi Efkairia, is another Greek classifieds site. BuyHub can add Vendora and Vinted Greece to the same search as Marketplace, so one query covers all three.
