Bolha Slovenia

Many people who search for Bolha are in Croatia, and there is a reason the two markets feel alike. Bolha began in 1999 within the company Megaklik. The Austrian media group Styria took a majority stake together with Schibsted in 2006 and became sole owner in 2008, renaming the company Bolha d.o.o. Styria also owns Njuškalo, the Croatian classifieds site launched in 2007, so the two are sister sites under the same owner.

They remain separate marketplaces, each with its own ads and accounts. A Croatian buyer looking at Bolha deals with Slovenian sellers and their terms.

BuyHub searches Bolha straight from the website, with nothing to install and no Bolha account. Type in English and BuyHub translates your term into Slovenian; titles come back in English. Filter by price and sort by newest, price or distance. Save the search as a radar and BuyHub keeps checking Bolha even with your phone and computer switched off.

Bolha, at bolha.com, is one of the largest classifieds sites in Slovenia and has been online since 1999; its name is the Slovenian word for “flea”, as in flea market. Individuals and dealers nationwide advertise everything from cars and homes to furniture and used electronics, and there is even a section for giving things away. As on most classifieds sites, payment and delivery are agreed directly with the advertiser, and collection in person is common.

Collectors can browse a hobby and collecting section, art and antiques (from period furniture and clocks to old maps and globes), antiquarian books and comics. Ads are written in Slovenian and prices are in euros, which makes comparisons easy for buyers elsewhere in the eurozone. Many advertisers expect the buyer to collect, so anyone buying from another country should first ask whether the seller is willing to ship.
